The Environmental Building News - www.BuildingGreen.com
- A comprehensive resource for those involved in construction and design. It
offers feature articles, product/material reviews and a fee-based newsletter.
Their focus is on "... energy-efficient, resource-efficient, and healthy
building practices." New to the site is an email discussion group for “green”
design and construction on a scale larger than residential housing. An
"advertising free" site, with a free description of "...what makes a product
green" and a directory of green materials in premium access.
EPA
- www.epa.gov - The EPA has an excellent site where you can perform a zip-code
search of any of several databases and get a fair amount of information about
individual sites; click on Where You Live on the left side of the home page or
use the following link. The Cleanup link on the right side of the home page
brings you to another page where you can find Brownfields and Superfund
information; from the latter, you can retrieve data from the Comprehensive
Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Information System (CERCLIS)
database. You can also access extensive listings of other resources.
Links to State Agencies
- www.epa.gov/epahome/state.htm - Yet another of the links from EPA; this page gives
contact information for both state and regional offices.
